Description: BACKGROUNDThe readiness project for enhancing Lao PDR National Capacity and Coordination in Health and Climate Change for the Lao People's Democratic Republic with technical support from World Health Organization (WHO) as the Delivery Partner was approved by Green Climate Fund (GCF) Secretariat in Dec 2021.The ultimate goal of the GCF Readiness project is to strengthen the climate resilience of the health sector through capacity building and access to climate financing.The HNAP is under development, with a strong collaboration between the MoH and the MoNRE. One of the main goals of the collaboration is to maximise co-benefits between two sectors, and particularly the health co-benefits of mitigation actions.
